Hi All, I tried deleting all the Spam-my pharmacy posters on OETN. I also changed the setting so that I will approve all new members. I hate adding this extra step, but it appears to be the only way to keep the network clean. Happy education tech…

I have been trying to delete and ban spammy members. I can try to be more diligent... I was also trying to find some group of people who have more time than me to help promote this site more and seed more discussions. Any interest from anyone?

So...what do we need to do to get this going in Chardon? Hardware, software, motivation? Or do our kids need more of a solid instructional technology background in order to do this?

I completed my student teaching at Beechwood Middle School were 1:1 computing was implemented. Garth Holman, the teacher I worked under is a great example of how 1:1 computing should be used in a school. While I was student teaching I used the 1:1 p…

Hi John! Thanks for sharing some details of your 1:1 efforts. I wanted to let you know (and everyone) that your interview turned out great. I just reviewed a roughcut of the podcast. I don't know when we'll have it on Ohio on iTunes U, but I'll be s…

Hey, you know how you can get updates sent to your email when a forum or group has messages posted... do you know how how you would subscribe to that thread in an RSS reader instead?

There is plenty of opportunity for partnerships and collaboration. We have over 1500 schools, libraries and non-profits connected to the OneCommunity network in Northeast Ohio. As I learn more about OETN, I'm sure opportunities will emerge.

Our mission aligns with OETN's mission. We have started an initiative called "OneClassroom" (http://www.oneclassroom.org) with an intention of collaborating with Ohio schools and Ed Tech organizations to build resources that are needed for 21st Century Learning.
I'm new to Ohio, I was a classroom teacher and Technology Director for a school district in Maryland. Right now I'm learning the Ohio educational technology landscape and trying to meet and connect with all of the different players.
I came to the OETN website to find out more about the tech conference your organization holds every year and was happy to see this social networking opportunity.

Thanks! I've been doing this for awhile;-) I've enjoyed working with Wanda several times in workshops.
Our online PD is just getting off the ground. We'll probably wait to offer it out to other districts.
